“Timeful and Timeless Writing” at 603 Writer’s Conference
June 8
$135 – $195An ad from 2015 can feel woefully outdated, while we still find sustenance in The Illiad and The Odyssey thousands of years after they were conceived. This is one paradox of writing – it must speak to the current moment in which it is written, but we do not wish it to be confined to that moment. How can we make our writing both contemporary and universal?
In this session, we’ll explore strategies for stitching together these modes seemingly at odds with one another, and consider how time itself can be a tool that shapes the writing that both packs a punch and endures.
